Very “Blade Runner” (only with less rain).

Crane operators wanted… 950m tall = 3,117 feet = .6 miles tall. As amazing as this egotower is, I’d feel as uncomfortable on the ground floor as the top one. The higher you go, the more the wind affects towers like these. I’ll bet that when it’s done, and you set a slinky on the top floor (both “feet” down) that it would walk.

A close friend of mine has designed the noise and vibration reduction panels for that tower and will oversee their installation.

S.Le– I asked a structural engineer friend to determine whether deflection caused by seismic action or wind is the overriding design factor, and he responded, “Neither. The overriding design factor is FEAR.”

It’d be enjoyable if a team of sumo wrestlers stayed in the penthouse.

FinPeng– If the sumo wrestlers were all greased up 24/7 and the penthouse had linoleum floors throughout, the wrestlers, sliding back and forth, would indeed dampen the deflection of the tower and…OH GOD, FIN. NOW YOU GOT ME TALKING ABOUT GREASY SUMO WRESTLERS SLIDING AROUND ON LINOLEUM FLOORS. YOU’RE SICK.
